I think I am spoiled from Abyssea just because of the simple fact one can get a Lv.75 job to Lv.90 in honestly 4-8 hours, assuming of course Time Extentions are plentiful, lights are well developed, the DD's present are at least reasonably skilled, the Healers are somewhat competent, and the AFK'ing is at an absolute minimum.

I'm just curious did Abyssea really destroy the normal way to earn EXP forever? or has Level Sync done that already long ago? :P

Like to here some additional thoughts on this. What you all think?

Level sync was the beginning of the end of "The Grind" lol
Abyssea has definately made it easier to get through the exp required to get thru higher lvls^^

While it's a big change I think it was a necessary step to ensure the survival of the game as a whole. Most MMOs make it easier to catch the top the long the game runs, putting a focus on end game; Abyssea truly puts full focus on game game, rather than the half year long grind to get there.

I wouldn't say it killed traditional parties completely, but I agree. Abyssea has certainly spoiled us to a degree of which we don't look forward to leveling a job normally.

I'm interested to see what all of this means to a newcomer. Surprisingly enough, this game still sees a lot of new players come in. With all the stuff they've added in the last two years like Fields of Valor, I wonder if Abyssea is enough of a spoil to limit those players who worked so hard to get up to a high enough level to be invited to an Abyssea party to only focus on that job, now that things have become so easy.

I appreciate the comments guys, this was just one of those things lingering in my mind. Honestly if you are a new adventurer, In my opinion they got it rough just for the simple fact, the Senior Adventurers are all about all things Endgame and ultimately Abyssea, rarely will anyone come to aide a new adventurer. I remember back in the day I use to go out my way and help the newbies. Now I just don't have time for that now. I rarely got time to keep Robmelee going. The newbies definately appear to be stranded in the Dunes with no aide. Unless of course they got PL buddies or something. I just only hope the newbies learns the basics of keeping there skills capped, keeping Reraise, Sneak, and Invisible on them at all times. These basic principles will be helpful and time saving to any group for any cause. :)

Ya keepin skills capped and learning your job as well as your role in a party was definately one benefit of traditional partying. This is especially important for new players.
